As the founder and editor of Halaluxe, Anis collaborates with global luxury properties eager to serve the affluent yet underserved segment of the Muslim travel market. She understands that halal is not a one-size-fits-all concept, and many affluent Muslim travellers seek experiential journeys that align with their faith-based needs.
Her background in journalism and consulting with the Japan Halal Foundation has equipped her to advocate for halal practices in partnership with high-end hospitality brands, tapping into the niche market of Muslim luxury travel. Anis is also a sought-after speaker, known for her insights on luxury Muslim travel, and has spoken at conferences such as ITC’s WITC in 2023 and the IDCP Philippines Halal Symposium in Manila.
In addition to steering Halaluxe, Anis serves as the Malaysia Correspondent for Singapore’s Travel Weekly Asia. She organises the Halaluxe spiritual and wellness retreat annually and leverages her degree in Psychology to run journal writing activities. Anis also volunteers with Al Khaadem, a Malaysian NGO, where she leads the New Muslims Community (NMC) programme, engaging in public dialogues about the universal values of Islam—a mission that reflects her work with Halaluxe.
