Gary Bowerman is an Asia-based travel and consumer analyst and consultant, and a regular conference speaker. He is Director of Check-in Asia, a travel consulting and research firm specialising in China and the Asia Pacific, and Asia Travel Analyst for Phocuswright. Author of The New Chinese Traveler: Business Opportunities from the Chinese Travel Revolution (Palgrave, 2014), he has co-hosted The South East Asia Travel Show since 2020. Gary is a frequent speaker at travel and tourism conferences. Recent speeches and presentations include UN Tourism, Global Tourism Economy Forum, Worldline, Indonesia Ministry of Tourism & Creative; Creative Economy, IMM Asia and the ASEAN Tourism Forum in locations such as Shanghai, Singapore, Barcelona, London, Bangkok, Jakarta, Macau and Vientiane.
