H.E. Dr. Karomiddin Gadoev is a distinguished diplomat and academic with extensive experience in international relations and diplomacy. He holds a PhD in “Economic and Social Geography” from Tashkent State University, where he began his career as a researcher at the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
Dr Gadoev’s diplomatic career commenced in 1995 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Uzbekistan, where he served in various capacities, including as Second Secretary, First Secretary, and later as Head of Division in the Department for UN and International Political Organizations. His expertise in multilateral diplomacy led him to significant roles, such as First Secretary and Counselor at the Mission of Uzbekistan to NATO in Brussels.
He has held several high-level positions within the MFA, including Head of the Division for Global Policy and Security, and Deputy Head of the Department for Cooperation with the UN and Other International Organizations. His work has focused on fostering international cooperation, particularly within the frameworks of the CIS, CSTO, SCO, and other global organizations.
In November 2023, Dr. Gadoev was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, where he continues to advance Uzbekistan’s diplomatic relations and interests.
Dr. Gadoev is fluent in Uzbek, English, and Russian. He is also a prolific author, having published 11 books and over 70 scientific articles on international relations, public diplomacy, and geography.
